George McAdam is a tenor banjo player from Ballybay in Co. Monaghan. Having started playing the banjo at a young age, he has won numerous junior and senior All-Ireland titles respectively. George is a much sought-after performer, recording artist and tutor at various summer schools and workshops throughout Ireland, the U.K., Europe and North America. He has performed on TG4, RTÉ, RTÉ Radio, Na Píobairí Uilleann’s monthly Session with the Pipers and is a regular performer at festivals throughout the country. He is currently based in Dublin where he is in high demand as music teacher.
